這次木島的修復任務—一件深紅色的老菜櫥，這是客人的母親當年嫁妝之一，雖非上等的材料，但其背後蘊含的意義與價值無法用金錢衡量。

Every piece of old furniture carries countless memories and emotions, especially those that have witnessed the lives of multiple generations. This time, Bokto was entrusted with the restoration of a crimson kitchen cupboard, a cherished item that was part of the client’s mother’s dowry. Although not made from premium materials, the cupboard holds immense sentimental value that far exceeds its material worth.

老菜櫥的危機：白蟻與水氣的雙重侵蝕
 

這件菜櫥受到嚴重的損毀。櫃腳被白蟻蛀空了一半，變得無法使用，只能暫時用物品墊著來勉強支撐。
水氣的侵襲也逐漸侵蝕了櫃子的底部，讓整個家具處於岌岌可危的狀態。對於這樣具有紀念意義的家具，櫃子的主人希望我們能夠幫助它重獲新生。

The Cupboard’s Dilemma: Termite and Moisture Damage

The cupboard had suffered significant damage over time. Its legs were half-eaten by termites, rendering it unusable, and the client had to place makeshift supports under it for stability. Additionally, moisture had gradually eroded the base of the cupboard, leaving the entire structure vulnerable. Understanding its sentimental significance, the client hoped we could restore it to its former glory.

我們的木工團隊在檢查評估完菜櫥的修復方式後，客人決定將受損嚴重的櫃腳、側板以及上板進行更換。
同時，我們還特別使用了防白蟻藥劑來徹底處理家具，防止未來再次受到蟲害的侵襲。

Bokto’s Professional Restoration: Repair and Protection

After thoroughly assessing the damage, our woodworking team replaced the severely damaged legs, side panels, and top board. To prevent further termite damage, we applied a specialized termite treatment.

最後，我們為菜櫥重新上漆，選擇了與原本深紅色一致的顏色，力求讓它重現當年的模樣。

Finally, we repainted the cupboard, using a color that matched its original deep crimson hue, striving to restore its authentic, vintage look.

經過修復後，這件菜櫥不僅結構變得穩固，外觀也焕然一新，重現了它最初的古早風貌。每一個細節、每一處修補，都融入了我們對這件家具的敬重，因為我們深知它對主人的特殊意義。
