來自台中的林先生，對於珍稀與獨特設計充滿熱情，他這次委託木島製作一張特殊的六柱腳餐桌。


林先生熱衷於收藏珍品，在他的收藏中，一塊大型櫻花木一枚板尤其顯眼。鑒於台灣本地櫻花樹的尺寸普遍較小，能找到足夠製作一整塊桌板的櫻花木非常罕見。因此，這塊珍貴的桌板配上的花梨木桌腳，自然也需具備相應的重量和品質，以匹配其獨特性。

 

Mr. Lin from Taichung, passionate about rare and uniquely designed items, has commissioned Bokto to create a special dining table with six legs.

Mr. Lin is an avid collector of treasures, among which a large single slab of cherry wood is particularly striking in his collection. Given that cherry trees in Taiwan are generally small, finding a cherry wood slab large enough to make an entire table top is exceedingly rare. Consequently, the valuable tabletop is complemented with rosewood legs, which naturally must possess the requisite weight and quality to match its uniqueness.

 

 

我們依照櫻花木桌板的尺寸及外型，量身打造一組相襯的桌腳。櫻花木的水波花紋相當突出，桌腳則選用同樣色系而較為低調的紅花梨木搭配，利用大倒角造型修飾，呈現圓潤不呆板的新穎風格。

 

We custom-designed a set of matching table legs based on the size and shape of the cherry wood tabletop. The cherry wood's prominent water-wave grain is quite striking, so we chose a similarly hued but more subdued rosewood for the legs. Utilizing large chamfer styling for embellishment, we achieved a rounded, innovative style that is anything but stiff.

 

 

在傢俱結構設計方面，木島使用傳統的公母榫接法於所有接點。這種精緻的工藝由經驗豐富的木工師傅執行。即便經過百年歲月，傢俱仍然穩固耐用。

 

In furniture structural design, Bokto employs traditional mortise and tenon joints at all connection points. This intricate craftsmanship is carried out by experienced woodworkers. Even after a century, the furniture remains sturdy and durable.

 

 

最後塗裝選用高保護性的Poly Urethane透明漆， 這種塗料不僅耐刮耐磨，同時具備出色的防水性能。
