This time, Bokto created a custom furniture set filled with personal character for our client. The overall design uses a whitewashed tone to blend with the home’s interior, crafted with solid wood and natural rattan to bring a refreshing atmosphere to the dining area. The client had many unique requests—and we were excited to bring them all to life!
The sideboard features eight compartments: four drawers on top and four flip-down cabinets below. One section was deliberately left open to store a rolling cart, making the layout more versatile and user-friendly.
The cabinet is finished in whitewashed paint, maintaining the wood grain texture while adding a modern touch. Rounded solid wood legs at the bottom improve proportions and allow robotic vacuums to pass through with ease.
The centerpiece of this sideboard is, without a doubt, its handwoven rattan doors. We’ve always loved rattan—it’s lightweight, breathable, and evokes a vintage charm. It also offers partial concealment of the cabinet’s contents, keeping the space looking neat. This client specifically requested natural rattan matched with a solid wood frame, perfectly combining durability with organic beauty.
This table features a fold-out design: compact when stored, but easily extended into a double-sided table when needed. Whether for dining or work, it instantly creates more usable surface area. The finish matches the sideboard, using the same whitewashed spray paint for a harmonious overall look.
We selected durable hardware hinges for smooth folding and unfolding, ensuring effortless operation and long-lasting stability. It’s a perfect blend of function and form.
Joinery Bench – Sturdy and Reliable with Broad Legs
The bench is designed with broad legs and traditional mortise-and-tenon joinery for added structural strength. Even when multiple people are seated, the bench remains stable—an ideal marriage of craftsmanship and functionality.
Its surface also features the same whitewashed tone, unifying it with the rest of the set. More than just a side piece, the bench plays an integral role in the room’s overall aesthetic.
From the sideboard to the table and bench, each furniture piece was custom-built to fit the actual dimensions and daily habits of the client’s home.
